  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In a case with Tullio phenomenon eye movements were recorded on ENG when the left ear was stimulated with pure tones of 250 and 500Hz at 130 SPL or with noise of dental drill. The direction of nystagmus during tone stimuli was opposite to the stimulated ear and reversed after the termination of stimuli. The pathophysiology in this patient was explained by endolymph movements theory across the ampulla in the horizontal semicircular canal through a bony fistula. No explorative surgery of the left ear was performed because of a better hearing ear, and hence no conclusion of the patho-physiological substrate was obtained.
