  • Look Inside

In this study, the efficacy of immunotherapy performed in our hospitals was analysed.

According to the symptom scores obtained from 30 patients, it was recognized that the most remarkable improvements of allergic symptoms were obtained within 3 to 6 months, but no further improvements were observed after this period of treatments though the immunotherapies were continued for more than 6 months.

To evaluate the long-term efficacy of immunotherapy, questionaires were sent to 42 patients who had previously received the immunotherapies. Approximately 70% of all patients showed persistent asymptomatic conditions for about 2 to 3 years after the final injection. There was no significant difference between the two groups that had received the long-term immunotherapy and that had discontinued immunotherapy after about 1 year of the treatment.
