I．緒言

　副鼻腔異物は耳鼻咽喉科領域の他の部位の異物に比べ少ない。われわれは今回散弾銃による眼窩および副鼻腔異物の1例と，42年間という長期間介在したのち髄膜炎を併発した副鼻腔異物の1例を経験したのでいささか文献的考案を加えて報告する。

　Case 1; a 40-year-old man was shot accidentally by a shotgun, and two bullets were removed from near the duct of optic nerve and the ethmoid sinus. but he lost his visual acuity.

　Case 2; a 62-year-old man was accidentally wounded by two pieces of a cannon ball of trench mortar. These foreign bcdies stayed continuously for 42 years in the right orbit and the left posterior ethmoid sinus. He developed nasal meningitis, and they were removed surgically.
