I.緒言
Listening level (LL) and most comfortable level (MCL) for music through headphone were examined in 12 senior high-school students with high frequency sensorineural hearing loss, 37 normal students (25 males and 12 females) and 8 normal adults. They were all customarily listening music using headphones.
The results obtained were as follows: 1) Mean LL of music in the hearing impaired group was 88 dB SPL. This value was significantly higher than those in the normal groups ranging from 68 to 76 dB SPL (p<0.01). 2) Mean MCL for music in the hearing impaired group was 77 dB SPL, which was also significantly higher than those in the normal groups (68-71 dB SPL) (p <0.05). 3) In the hearing impaired group, LL was significantly higher than MCL (p<0.01). 4) No difference of LL and MCL for music was found between both ears in the subjects with unilateral hearing loss.
