診断と治療に苦慮した耳下腺部の箸異物症例

A Foreign Body in the Parotid Gland

　I．緒言

　ここに報告するのは，左耳下腺部の皮下深くに存在した異物によって肉芽と膿瘍を形成した症例で，その診断に苦慮させられ，治癒するまでに1年以上もの経過をとったものである。本邦での文献を調べたが，我々が渉猟した中には類似した症例の報告はなかった。臨床医として非常に貴重な経験であったと考え，本症例の診断と治療の経過を報告し，諸賢の御批判をたまわりたい。

　A 35-year-old female was complaining of swelling of the left parotid gland. Computed tomography and ultrasonogram revealed a solid mass in the gland, and a parotid tumor was highly suspected. However the patient confessed that she was stabbed with a chopstick in that region. A small skin incision was made and the broken tip of chopstick was finally extirpated one year later.
