Effects of Anti-dust Mask on Apple Pollinosis

　I．緒言

　リンゴ花粉症は，リンゴ農業従事者に発症率が高く，発作はリンゴ開花期間のリンゴ園での農作業中に発現し，特に，リンゴ人工交配作業（図1）時に増悪する傾向を示すことなどから，職業性花粉症に属するとされている^1,2,3）。

　リンゴ人工交配作業は，リンゴ栽培にとっては不可欠な作業である。リソゴの花に接近し，石松子を加えた人工交配川リンゴ花粉（図2）を綿棒で雌しべに付着させるこの作業は，リンゴ農業従事者に大量のリンゴ化粉吸入の場を提供してきたと推察される。

　Efficacy of anti-dust mask for apple pollinosis was evaluated in 12 patients who had worked during the pollination season of apple in 1980.

　In general, the effects on nasal symptoms were observed in 58.3% of them, and 25.0% showed excellent results. The symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, nasal itching, weeping, eye-itching, pharyngeal itching, cough, and sputum were eliminated by using the anti-dust mask.

　Therefore, this was considered to be an effective tool for the prevention of attacks during apple pollination.
