梨状窩に発生したいわゆる癌肉腫（so-called carcinosarcoma）の1症例

So-called Carcinosarcoma of the Piriform Sinus of the Larynx

　I．はじめに

　喉頭および下咽頭の悪性腫瘍はそのほとんどが癌であり，特に扁平上皮癌が圧倒的に多く，肉腫は少ないものと言われている。この領域におけるいわゆる癌肉腫（so-called carcinosarcoma）に至ってはわが国においては現在までに4例の報告に接したのみで，極めて稀な疾患であると言える。最近，筆者らはこの稀有な1例を経験したので，その概要をここに報告する。

　So-called carcinosarcoma of the larynx and hypopharynx is rarely seen, and 24 reports of such cases are found in the literature and only 4 reports in Japan. In a 66-year-old male with hoarseness, an edematous mass was detected in the left piriform sinus. This tumor was extirpated with a total laryngectomy. Histopathological examinations of this tumor showed squamous cell carcinoma with histological figures of so-called carcinosarcoma. The patient seemed to be in favourable condition about 3 and a half years after operation.
