マイクロコンピュータによる片側上顎洞・篩骨洞疾患の計量診断の試み

DIAGNOSIS OF THE PARANASAL SINUS DISORDERS WITH MICROCOMPUTER

　I．緒言

　「ある種の信号から出発して，情報収集の計画を合理的に行ない，それらの情報の客観的な処理によつて信頼度の明らかな診断に到達する新しい診断学」を，高橋ら^1）は従来の記述診断学に対して，計量診断学と名付けた。

　実際に経験された症例を分析してある種の数学モデルを作成し、そのモデルを用いた診断の有効性を確認するとともに実際の計量診断に役立てようとする考えは，今まで先天性心疾患や各種の脳腫瘍診断などで試みられてきた^2）3）。このような計量診断学は電子計算機の開発とあいまつて，種種の分野で進歩していくものと思われる。

　Twenty four clinical data from each of 74 patients with diseases of unilateral paranasal sinuse were investigated.

　A microcomputer was used to calculate the likelihood of diagnosis in 3 groups ; I : Malignant tumor, II : Benign tumor or paranasal sinusitis with imflammatory mass, III : Paranasal sinusitis without inflammatory mass from the above statistical data. The final diagnosis of each patient was decided from the 3 values of likelihood.

　The statistical diagnosis and the pathological were agreed in 86.7%. The more accurate diagnosis may be obtained by this statistical approach than by experienced clinicians.
