突発的な聴力低下を呈した聴神経腫瘍の2症例

Two CASES OF ACOUSTIC TUMOR EXHIBITING SUD-DEN HEARING LOSSS

　I．緒言

　突発性難聴は，名大三宅教授の宿題報告や厚生省班研究にとりあげられて以来，一般耳鼻科医の問で益々関心がもたれるようになつた疾患である。このいわゆる"狭義の突発性難聴"（以下突難と略）は本来原因不明のもののみを示しているが，同様の症状を呈しながら病因の明らかなもの（広義の突発性難聴）も少なくなく，診断や治療方針の決定には慎重なる判断を要する。今回われわれは突難の症状を呈した聴神経腫瘍2例を経験したので報告する。

　Abstract Two cases of surgically confirmed acoustic tumor whose initial symptom was a sudden hearing loss were reported. Review of the literatures revealed that 23 cases with similar symptom had already been reported. It is stressed in this paper that the possibility of acoustic tumor should be taken into consideration when we see a patient complaining of sudden hearing loss.
