A comparative study of intradermal reaction of lymphoid cell subpopulation, PPD and DNCB, was made on patients affected with cancer of the head and neck region in comparison to those who were normal in health.

 1. The T-cell count among the normal individuals averaged 1243 to ±622, while among the cancerous patients, it ran 790±597. The B-cell averaged normal was 666±334 but, with theaffected, it amounted to 579±334. With PPD there was a marked difference of 85.6% against 63.5% among the non-affected and the affected. DNCB registered 100% against 43.5% with the non-affected in comparison the affected.

 2. Positive results with PPD and DNCB were obtained among the normal individual as being interrelated but, there seemed to be no relation between the T-cell and PPD and DNCB.
