頸部肺ヘルニアの1症例

A CERVICAL HERNIA, A CASE REPORT

　I．はじめに

　頸部腫瘤を主訴として耳鼻咽喉科外来を訪れる患者は少なくない。そのうち臨床症状および局所所見により気道と直接交通している腫瘤と明らかに判明できるものにラリンゴツェレや下咽頭憩室などがある。そのほかに非常に稀な疾患として頸部肺ヘルニアの報告がある。私たちは頸部肺ヘルニアの1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えここに報告する。

A man, aged 54, complained of a mass off and on in the suprasternal fossa of one year duration. The mass was prominently noticeable when patient coughed and streined but not during a quiet respiration.

　The x-ray examination revealed that the mass was herniated from thoracic space. This herniation may be classified as an acquired and a spontaneous types.

　Vigorous coughing due to chronic pharyngolaryngitis might have been the cause in this case.
