側頭骨のMonostotic Fibrous Dysplasiaの1例

MONOSTOTIC FIBROUS DYSPLASIA OF THE TEMPORAL BONE

　全身の骨に単発性または多発性に生ずる線維性骨異形成症（fibrous dysplasia）は，かつては独立疾患として認められていなかつたが，1932年Weilにより始めて独立疾患として報告された。その後Lichtensteinにより"fibrous dysplasia"という名称が提唱され^18）（1938年），今日広く用いられている。

　この疾患は，慢性に骨の腫脹をきたし，骨髄の線維化，骨吸収と新生骨による置換などを特徴とする。頭頸部領域では下顎骨，上顎骨などにみられることが多く，側頭骨に限局する例は稀である。

　A case of monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the temporal bone is reported. A girl, aged 11, complained of a gradual and progressive loss of hearing and swelling of the left temporal bone. Histological examination revealed a typical fibrous dysplasia. The operation was successfully performed for cosmetic purpose and recovery of hearing.
