私の行なつている慢性副鼻腔炎の手術方法（第2報）

MY METHOD OF OPERATION FOR TREATMENT OF CHONIC SINUSITIS

　本法はすでに耳鼻咽喉科^1）（第41巻，第2号に発表したごとく一つの総合的手術方法であるが，本報では前頭洞のみを目標にした場合について，主にHalle^2）法との比較を中心にして私見を加えて発表し，諸兄のご批判を仰ぐ次第である。

　This method of operative procedure in general has been reported elsewhere. The present report is concerned with the way in which an approach is made to the frontal sinus.

　The pyriform aperture is exposed by periosteal separation after placing a vertical and horizontal incisions. The separation is, then, carried upwards on the lateral nasal wall to expose the anterior end of the inferior turbinate attachment which is bitten away. The separation on the lateral nasal wall is continued upwards to reach the region of the nasal dorsum exposing the sulcus ethmoidalis and processus uncinatus. The latter is bitten away. The ethmoid cells are opened. The nasal bone promontory is exposed, and chiselled away. A wide excess to the frontal sinus is, in this way, established.
