咽頭ノイリノーマ2症例

PHARYNGEAL NEURINOMA: A REPORT OF TWO CASES

　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域における，神経原性腫瘍のうち，ノイリノーマについては，第Ⅷ神経を原基とするいわゆる聴神経鞘腫が代表的なものであり，そのほかの脳神経や交感神経に由来する症例も報告されているが，比較的稀な疾患である。われわれは咽頭ノイリノーマの2例を経験したのでこれを報告し若干の考察を加えてご批判を仰ぎたいと思う。

　Two cases of pharyngeal neurinoma arc reported. The tumors in both cases were located in the left retrotonsillar region.

　The majority of these tumors are known to be benign yet a small percentage of them could be malignant. They are asymptomatic in their early stages of development.

　However, as the tumor increase in size symptoms such as discomfort, pain and difficulty in swallowing may appear which may be influenced by various nerve involvements.

　Diagnosis may be established by maens of a biopsy.

　A carotid angiography may be a valuable aid in establishing the location of the tumor.

　In surgical removal of these tumors a special attention should paid for preservation of intact surrounding nerves.

　The prognosis of this affection is good.
