高熱下労務者に見られた突発的難聴，眩暈の発症機転について

THE MECHANISM OF THE SUDDEN ONSET OF LOSS OF HEARING AND VERTIGO IN PERSONS EXPOSED TO EXTREME HOT TEMPERATURE

　I．はじめに

　現代の社会においては，個人を取り囲む複雑な環境がさまざまな形で物理的，心理的な影響を人間に及ぼし，文明病の一端として姿を現わしている。著者らは高熱下の過激な労働が誘因となつて発症したと思われる一側高度難聴と眩暈を訴える症例に接したので，その発症機序について検討したところを報告するしだいである。

　A boilerman, aged 37, working under an extreme hot temperature suddenly fell unconscious. But since this incident the patient complained of severe loss of hearing with tinnitus of the left ear and vertigo rotating in type. The authors point out inner ear and central disturbances due to circulatory disturbance by extreme hotness as possible cause of these changes.
