慢性中耳炎の耳漏より検出される菌の種類とその薬剤感受性

TYPING OF BACTERIA CULTURED FROM THE AURAL DISCHARGES OF CHRONIC OTITIS MEDIA AND SENSITIVITY TESTS

緒言

　慢性中耳炎の治療には手術的療法および薬物療法がある。近年Tympanoplastyの隆盛とともに薬物療法への関心が薄れているような印象を受けるがこれは一つには慢性中耳炎に対して薬物治療の効果が期待薄であるという経験に基づくところが大きい。観血療法を避けて薬物療法で治療を期待し得るならばこれに越したことはない。可能な限り非観血的療法で治癒を計るべきである。

　慢性中耳炎にはなぜ薬物療法が効果が少ないのであろうか。これは感染細菌の薬物作用を論ず前に中耳の慢性炎症性病変の組織的な立場から薬物の作用機序を考えて見なければならない。また使用薬物の病変局所への移行の問題もある。これについては山本^1）はその検索結果を発表している。

　A study was conducted to find the types of bacterial growth that may be cultured from the aural discharges of chronic otitis media, the possible changes in these growths with the passage of time, the relation that may exist between the type of growth and postoperative convalescence and sensitivity tests of these growths towards commonly used antibiotics. As a result a large number of cases recently were found to be involved with pseudomonas aeruginosa infections. And, unfavorable postoperative results were generally derived from such infections or similar rodshaped bacteria.
