CYCLOCARBOTHIAMINE (CCT) IN TREATMENT OF VARIOUS AFFECTIONS IN THE FIELD OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　Vit B₁の耳鼻咽喉科領域における応用はすでし多くの報告がなされている。このたび，山之内製薬株式会社にてVit B₁と同一薬理作用を有するCyclocarbothiamine（以下CCTと略す）が開発され，われわれの教室に臨床治験が依頼された。

　Vit B₁とCCTの構造式を示せば，下記のごとし。

　Cyclocarbothiamine (CCT) as a from of Vitamin B₁ was employed for treatment of various nervous affection such as, deafness due to various causes, tinnitus aurium, facial paralysis, partial paralysis of laryngeal muscles, neuritis and anosmia, with favorable results. In one case the agent was used in treatment of kanamycin-induced-deafness with, not only, a good result but, allowed the patient to be continually treated with kanamycin without any advent of deafness. There was no side-effect from the use of this drug.
