両側下顎エナメル上皮腫の1例

A CASE WITH BILATERAL ADAMANTINOMA

　Ⅰ．緒言

　エナメル上皮腫は，歯系腫瘍の一つで，緩慢な発育を示すが再発が多く，臨床的には悪性の腫瘍に準ずるものであり，病理学的にも時に悪性像を呈することがあり，転移を作るなど興味ある腫瘍である。

　じゆうらい，この腫瘍に関して詳細な報告や研究業績は少なくないが，われわれはこのたび，下顎骨両側に個々に発生し，あいついで左右下顎骨切除術を施行した症例を経験したので，ここに報告する。

　Epithelioma adamantinum which occurred as bilateral growths on both sides of the mandible in a separate entity was found in a boy, aged 14. Following repeated operations on both sides of the jaw, the patient recovered completely without any facial deformity nor with any difficulty in occulusion of the upper and lower teeth.

　The authors mention the rareness in which this type of growth occurs bilaterally and offer discussions on the subject in general.
