双極針による鼻甲介粘膜下電気凝固について

ELECTROCOAGULATION OF THE INFERIOR TURBINATES BY DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLE ELECTRODE

　Ⅰ．緒論

　慢性鼻炎における鼻甲介に対する高周波電流による粘膜下凝固の方法としては，単極針と双極針を用いる場合，若しくはそれらの変法とがある。単極針による方法については先に上田が報告している^1）2）。又双極針についても既に成書の記載もあり，単極針の方法ど洞様従来行なわれている。今一つの変法は前二者の応用であり，その使用目的により例えば単極針の先端を叉状に分岐させたのを用いたりする場合である。

　今回は以上の方法の中，双極針による鼻甲介の粘膜下凝固につきMorrisonの記述^3）を参考にして現在行なつている方法を述べて見たい。

For treatment of chronic rhinitis by me-ans of electrocoagulation through high-freq-uency currents, a doule-pointed needle elec-trode was used. The electrode was inserted into the tissue to the distance of 2.5 to 3.5 cm and 8 W current strength is passed until a sufficient tissue coagulation was produced. This method of treatment proved to be par-ticularly effective in resolving the swelling of the inferior turbinates and other hyper-trophic tissues of the established chronic rhinitis.
