電気凝固による衂血の止血法とその応用について

THE USE OF ELECTROCOAGULATION IN NASAL OPERATIONS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　高周波電流による広義の電気凝固作用には乾燥・焼灼・凝固・炭化等種々の段階があり，治療目的によりそれぞれ使い分けられている。それらの中で電気凝固による鼻内の止血作用について，先ず基本の形としての衂血の止血法と，その応用としての下甲介切除時における止血について日常実際に行つている方法を最近四年間の経験より述べてみたい。

The author gives account of his experience in the use of electro-coagulation for establi-shing hemostasis of epistaxis and hemorrhage following turbinectomies which he had used for the last 4 years. Using minimum amount of high frequency current producing coagula-tion so as to facilitate the rendering of the nasal mucous membrane to its normal function by avoiding undue irritations is the essential point of this procedure.
