側頸部内異物の1症例

FOREIGN BODY OF THE NECK

　緒言

　側頸部は，切創，刺創，射創，挫創等の損傷を受けることが屡々あるが，その大部分は外科的に処置され，それが咽喉頭及び気管食道等に傷害を蒙らない限り耳鼻科外来を訪れることは比較的稀れである。我々は最近精神病患者（精神分裂症）が自殺の目的で右側頸部を庖丁で損傷し，その一部が異物として完全に側頸部内に介在し，約2ヵ月間特に強い自覚症状を訴えずにいた極めて珍しい症例に遭遇したので報告する。

A man, aged 27, affcted with schizophrenia stabbed himself in an attempted suicide with a large meat knife in his own neck. The end of the knife broke off and it remained in the neck for the period 2 months without much adverse symptom excepting a sense of the presence of a foreign body. The piece mea-sured 8×3 cm. The diagnosis was made by X-ray examination. Surgical removal of the foreign body was followed by uneventful re-covery.
