Photoelectronystagmographyの1検討

　Ⅰ．緒言

　前庭機能検査の方法の改善のためにまず必要とされることは，出来るかぎりその煩雑さを無くし，信頼のおけない主観的観察方法を除くことである。その必要性は前庭生理の研究にたずさわる多くの先駆者により認められた。眼振の他覚的な観察や記録の方法が種々発表された。多くの装置がこの目的のために作られ提唱された。

　眼振の記録方法には非常な努力がなされた。過去の文献をみるに，前庭生理学者の立場からHögyes^1）は眼球内に軽い金属棒を挿入し，この棒の他端を記録器として用い，その目的を達しようと試みた。同様のことがDewar^2）により電気的な方法とともに報告された。

Photoelectronystagmograph is a devise in which various reactions are measured by util-izing the difference of light refractions in-herent seperately in the cornea and the iris. Compared to electronystagmograph the former is more sensative and less influenced by fac-tors of EMG and signal to noise. However, a minute care must be given to the selection of light source as well as the position of the transistors in which it is placed.
