2，3の疾患と耳下腺唾液腺造影像についての新私見（その1）

　Ⅰ．緒言

　人は年齢を経るに従い種々の器官臓器にも一般に老化現象がおこるのが常である。唾液腺もその例外とはいい難い。おおむね40歳以上の耳下腺唾液腺造影像（以下唾影像と略す）も萎縮を示すものが多い。その年代の唾影像は北村氏の分類によればV₁V₂型が圧倒的に多いことによつても，それ、を裏書きするに足り得ることがわかる。しかしある種の疾患では必ずしもしからざる場合がみられることが明らかになつた。生理でも生化学でもまず形態学的変化の裏づけなくしては十分その論拠を論ずることはでき難いので2，3の疾患の耳下腺に及ぼす形態学的変化の唾影像をめぐつて若干の私見を述べ諸賢者の御批判を仰ぐしだいである。

Changes that occur in the parotid glands follwing intensive treatment of diabetes me-litus and operations on sex glands or thyroid were studied under X-ray visualization. When a large amount of insulin was administered to diabetic patients the parotid glands show-ed a hypertrophy as if they were covered by a spread of spider-web ; similarly such a condition was also observable following opera-tions on the sex glands as well as thyroids. In the manifestation of this condition, the aut-hor believes, the non-medulated nerve fibers that course through the net-work of medu-lated ones have an important role to play.
