気管切開を施行した破傷風の2治験例

　Ⅰ．まえがき

　破傷風は我国において年間800〜900人が罹患し現今の医療をもつてしてもその70〜80％が死亡する^1）という恐るべき疾患である。牙関緊急を初発症状とし，喉頭痙攣，呼吸困難を伴うこと，及び原病巣が耳鼻口腔咽頭に見られるる場合もあることからして我科領域においても決して稀な疾患というわけではない。本疾患の治療は成書にも記されているように抗毒素血清，原病巣の除去清掃，化学療法，抗痙攣剤などが使われている。

　最近われわれは上記療法を強力に行うとともに積極的に気管切開を行い，幸にも治癒せしめ得た2症例を経験したのでここにいささかの考案を加えて報告するしだいである。

Two cases of tetanus are successfully cu-red by an appropriate use of antitoxins, chemotherapy anticon vulsants, tracheotomy and gastric gavage. The latterr two items namely tracheotomy and gastric gavage appe-ar to be the most important factors in the treatment to prevent suffocation and to mai-ntain a proper nutrition in the progress of the disease.
