高血圧症における耳鳴について

　I．緒論

　耳鳴発生に血管系が関係ある事は考えられている。而して血管系と血圧とは直接の関係があり，従つて高血圧症によく訴えられる耳鳴は，血圧の上昇から何等かの影響を受けているのではないかという事は，充分に考えられる。その為，耳鳴を訴える患者に於いて高血圧が認められる場合，耳鳴の原因を血圧の上昇に結びつけて説明される事が少くない。しかし乍ら精密に考察すれば，両者の関係がどの程度であるかは判然としていない。ここに高血圧症に於ける耳鳴について，両者の関係を血圧，眼底所見，無響室内耳鳴，聴力等色々の観点から観察してみた。以下はその報告である。

Among 140 patients who suffered hyper-tension 30 % of cases complained of tinnitus aurium. However, no close relation between tinnitus with blood pressure or retinal arte-riosclerosis was established.

When 30 individuals of normal blood pres-sure were placed in a sound-proof room they all reported the effect of tinnitus aurium ; this phenomenon is reversed among individu-als affected with hypertension. The number reporting the effect by tinnitus was by far the less.

The acuity of hearing in the hypertensive is affected by decrease similar to that found among senile disturbances but the hearing among the hypertensive with tinnitus are furthermore affected and the picture produ-ced by the latter appear to represent the effects of nerve-deafness.
