中耳炎根治手術と術後聴力について—〔第2報〕鼓膜成形術併行時の中耳炎根治手術について

　I．緒言

　私は曩に「慢性中耳炎に見られる伝音機構病的破損，或は中耳炎根治手術の際，臨床的に起り得ると考えられる範囲の中耳伝音機構の損傷と，其の際の聴力損失との関係」に就いて報告した。そして手術に際しては術創の2次的治癒とも謂うべきもSelbst correcturの方向を考えて，此の自然の力が破損した中耳伝音機構を修理するのを妨げられる事が無い様に，手術的侵襲を加えるべき事を提言した。

　私は上記私見によつて設定した「中耳炎手術の際に於ける中耳伝音機構の侵襲順位」に従つて手術を進めて来たが，鼓膜成形術を併行して益々その重要性を痛感するので茲に報告する。

The question of operative procedure on ch-ronic otitis media and tympanoplasty in com-bination has come to fore of recently. Such a combined method is undoubtedly in pursuit of two factors the cure chronic infection and recovery of hearing.

However, it is understood that attainment of hearing recovery is solely dependent upon a successful eradication of the infectious process: the both of which are possible. Moreover, as far as the proper recovery of hearing is concerned, it must be said that it is the most important to eradicate the foci of infection rather than dwelling on the de-tails of various methods of tympanoplasty.
