鼻腔異物（竹片）により惹起された破傷風の1例

　I．はじめに

　鼻腔異物に関しては過去に多くの統計的な発表があり，その種類も鼻腔に入り得るものは総て異物となり得る程雑多であるが，我々が最近経験した様な，異物によって破傷風を惹起したという例は私の調べた範囲では，まだ1例もないようである。

　ここに報告するのは，患者が意識不明瞭なため，鼻腔内に竹片を刺入した事を訴えず，転落による脳震盪と蜘網膜下出血のみに気をとられて竹片の発見がおくれ，異物を除去して鼻腔内の清掃を図つた時は既に破傷風症状が出現する直前であつたという1例で，極めて稀な症例であろうと思う。

A case of tetanus that developed from an external injury of the nasal cavity is report-ed. A boy, aged 9, harbored a piece of bam-boo sliver, which appeared to have been acquired when he fell from round-tree exr-cecise apparatus on the play-ground, as a nasal foreign body. The reason with which the establishment of the causative factors in this case is presented along with the essence of the clinical progress that resulted in the cure of the patient.
