昭和32年度に於ける青森県下難聴身体障害者の統計的観察

　まえがき

　昭和25年4月1日，身体障害者福祉法が制定され，耳鼻科領域に於ても難聴者の更生援護がようやく脚光をあびて来た。爾来，当教室に於ても毎年青森県下各地に巡回診査を続けて来たが，こゝに昭和32年度に於ける青森県下身体障害者診査成績の統計を中心にして発表する。

The result of statistical observations on cases of hard of hearing found in connection to general physical disabilities that were re-ported for the year, 1957, from January 1 to December 31 inclusive, in Aomori Ken, Japan, shows that 50% of the cases are due to inner ear deafness and 30% to chronic otitis.

In order to decrease the number of disabili-ties a greater endeavor should be made to-wards the public at large in problems con-cerned medicine and to prevent occurrences of hearing losses it is apparently necessary that an early diagnosis and treatment be in-stituted in cases of ear troubles.

It is found that 80% of cases of hard of hearing are rehabilitated to become useful member of society by use of hearing aids.
