NAKAMURA AND OKA try, in order to maintain minimum blood loss during sinus operations possibly by a state of lowered blood pressure, preoperative use of hexamethonium bromide. This agent when given intrvenously in adosage ranging from 75-100mg enables the blood pressure to remain at about 100 mm/Hg systolic and 75, diastolic and its use is free from any untoward symptoms. Under its usage the blood loss is minimized, about 94 g on the average ; the operation time is shortened thereby, enabling the surgeon to attack the sinuses on both sides at a single sitting.
