Lateral Transthyroid Pharyngotomyにより中咽頭並に下咽頭細網肉腫を摘出せる経験

　はしがき

　中咽頭並に下咽頭の悪性腫瘍に対する治療は光線療法によるべきか，手術的療法に従うべきかは議論の分るる所であろうが私達は中下咽頭の細網肉腫をLateral Ttansthyroid Pharyngotomy即ちWilfsed-Protter's Operation（Orton）に依り手術し術後十一ケ月目の現在尚再発を見ないので一応報告する次第であります。

　本手術法は要するに舌骨大角及び甲状軟骨の一部を切除して側咽喉を広く開大し上は上咽頭，下は下咽頭迄見得るまで切開できるので広汎なる悪性腫瘍摘出を可能ならしめるものであります。

　SUZUKI AND HARADA report a case, in whom a man aged 60 was found, affected with lymphosarcoma of the left tonsil and reticulosarcoma involving the root of the tongue and lower larynx. The growths were removed by Trotter-Colledge method, lateral transthyroid laryngotomy. At present report, eleven months after the operation no evidence of recurrence in noted.
