拔齒と義齒装着による聽力変化に就て

　緒言

　不正咬合によつて起る難聽の報告は，従来の文献に於ては多く歯科学の領域に於て報告されているが，難聽についての詳細な記載は殆すど見られない．我国に於てもこれに関する報告は殆んど見られず，僅に中村氏が歯牙疾患と聽器について言及している．歯科領域で義歯の改良によつて聽力回復をみた例の報告もあるが詳細な記載はないようである．

　私共は拔歯後の或る例に於て，難聽を来した例があるので，これが不正咬合による難聽と関係があるのではないかと思い，その聽力変化を測定した．又従来いわれているように義歯装着により聽力の回復するのもみられたので，その原因に就ては不明であるが，之に対しても一応の考察を加えて，ここに報告するものである．

OWADA AND NAGASAKA examined cases of deafness which may readily arise as conseque-nce to total dental extractions. It was found, ho-wever, that these patients recovered their hearing in a period of 1 or 2 Weeks were they fitted with a proper denture. An investigation has been made, also, on the question as to what extent the hard of hearing which might be due to mal-occlu-sion may recover when fitted With an appropriate denture. Experimentally it was found that patie-nts who are accustomed to wearing full denture were affected with hard of hearing within 8 days if the dentures were completely removed during that period. And recovery of hearing in the same patients occurred after 14 days when dentures we-re worn again. The authors believed the ease of mastication with which wearing of denture affor-ded as an element of importance in the recovery of hearing.
