乳樣突起闥閾蜂窠より後頭髁に達する病巣に就て—Penicilin masked Mastolditis

　緒言

　從來側頭骨含氣蜂窠或は側頭骨内の病竈，即ち急性化膿性炎症に就ては既に論じ盡されてゐるが，後頭骨にも此等の炎症が波及した際の事はあまり言及されてゐない樣である．

　從來の報告の多くは本標題の如く，頭蓋底に炎症が波及した場合ではなく，S字状洞後部蜂窠より炎症は更に後方に後頭骨迄波及したものである．而も而來のものは極めて治癒遷延した重症例で，後頭部に骨膜下膿瘍を作り，或は横洞血栓に導かれて後頭骨罹患を発見されたものか，或は死後剖檢例である．

Yoshio reports the use of penicillin in a case of acute otitis media which, temporarily showed an apparent cure was the cause of masked in-fections in the petrous pyramid and in remote mastoid cells which also involved the occipital region with manifestations of symptoms such as faciai paralysis, excessive lacrimation and stiff-neck. The patient is cured with mastoidectmy on conservative basis.
