咡語に對する音聲學的批判並に咡語檢査用語の選び方

　序言

　咡語による聽力檢査法は，學童その他の集團的檢査法としてその簡便なる點より重用せられているが，正確度その他の點については他の檢査法に比して遺憾とする點が多い。私は咡語につき音聲學的立場より檢討を加え，これより進んで咡語檢査用語の選び方についても些か得る所があつたと信ずるので，以下これを述べて諸賢の御批判を抑ぎたいと思う．尚檢査材料としては名古屋市門前小學校5年生兒童を使用し，これに基いて選出した用語を愛知縣碧海郡安城町第1小學校及中學校生徒約三千名に實施して更に檢討した．

The words used on whisper-test were consid-ered in vowels and consonants. Since the pur-pose of whisper-test is to acertain the general degree of hearing acuity, the words which are most suited were selected, and examination was carried out on 3,000 school-children. The auther reports that better result was obtained in this test than those prexiously reported.
