Gangliocytoma of the Pineal Body:A case report and general review

I．はじめに

　日本においては欧米に比し松果体部腫瘍の多いことは諸家のひとしく指摘するところであり^7,15,26），なかでも，germinoma,teratomaなどが多く，次いでglioma，ependymoma,epiderrnoid,dermoid,meningioma,an-giomatous malformationなどがみられることがある^7,15，26）．最近，われわれは松果体部に発生した，この部の腫瘍としては極めて稀なgangliocytomaと思われる症例を経験し，その全摘出に成功した．本症に関する臨床像はその稀有なるが故に不明な点も少なくない．そこで症例を呈示するとともに，本症の臨床像，診断，手術方法，病理学的見地から文献的考察を加えて報告する．

A case of pineal gangliocytoma in a 51 year-old manis presented. He was admitted to the hospital onFebruary 2, 1982, with complaints of headache, nuchalpain, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting of threeyears' duration. Neurological examination did not Ishow any neurological deficits but bilateral chokeddisc. Preoperative CT scan disclosed a sharp bycircumscribed high density lesion in the pineal regionwith moderate hydrocephalus. Preoperative 99m Tc-DTPA brain scinti scan revealed a warm activity inthe pineal region, and changes of its activity were onlylittle in the course of time.
