I．はじめに

　脳腫瘍が神経管外に転移しにくいとする見解は近年少なからず修正を必要とするもののようであり，最近，転移例の報告はとみに増えつつある現状といえる．われわれはpineal originのgerminomaの患者で部分摘除および照射療法から4年を経て，神経症状，CT scan，髄液検査等，いずれにも原発巣の再発を否定できた症例に偶然腹腔内にgerminomaの転移が発見され，V-P shuntを介する転移と考えるべき経験をしたので文献的考察を加えて報告する．

There is an increasing evidence in the literature of extraneural metastasis of the brain tumor associated with the shunting procedure. An additional report was prepared with intraperitoneal metastasis of pineal germinoma through the ventriculo-peritoneal shunt. A 19 years old boy was initially seen in October, 1975 with an eight month's history of progressive headache, nausea and vomiting. Polyuria and polydipsia were also noted. Neuroradiological examination suggested a pineal tumor and partial removal of the tumor with ventriculoperitoneal shunt was performed.
