I．はじめに

　髄膜腫は全頭蓋内腫瘍の12-18％を占め，通常は孤立性，単発性に発生するが，多発性のことは少ない．多発性髄膜腫の発生頻度は，諸家の報告によれば髄膜腫の1-2％にみられ，その頻度は少なく，小腫瘍として多発する場合には，各種検査法の限界もあり，術前にすべての腫瘍が総括的にとらえられることは困難とされている^1,2,8）．しかし，頭蓋内病変の診断にCTスキャンが導入され，enhanced CTが広く行われるようになってからは，従来検出できなかったような小腫瘍の存在の確認や多発性であるとの診断は容易となり，多発性髄膜腫の報告例も漸次増加してくるものと思われる．

　われわれは現在までにvon Recklinghausen病あるいは聴神経鞘腫に合併していない多発性髄膜腫の2症例を経験しており，その症例を提示し，文献的考察を加えて報告する．

Meningiomas are the most popular benign intra-cranial tumors, but they are rarely seen as a multiplegrowth. The incidence of multiple meningiomas,defined by Cushing and Eisenhardt, is about 1 to 2 percent of all meningioma cases. Though many casesof the multiple meningiomas were reported previouslyin the world, some of them were concomitant with vonRecklinghausen's disease or acoustic neurinoma.Most of the cases of the multiple meningiomas reportedshowed multiple lesion at the time of operation orafter a few years of the initial operation.
