髄膜腫の頭蓋外転移—2例報告と文献的考察

Extracranial Metastases from Intracranial Meningiomas:A report of 2 cases and review of literature

I．はじめに

　頭蓋内脳腫瘍が頭蓋外に転移する事実は，比較的稀ではあるがよく知られている^7,14,24）．しかし，その大部分はgliomaである^7,24）．

　髄膜腫は良性の脳腫瘍といわれているが，12-21％は再発を来たす^6,22）．しかし頭蓋内髄膜腫が頭蓋外に転移することは極めて稀であり，その頻度は0.1％といわれ^2），著者らの知りえた範囲では文献上69例を数えるにすぎない^{1,2,5,7-11,15-17,20,21,23,25,26）}．

It is well known that meningioma is one of the benigntumors, but the recurrence of some meningioma has beenexperienced in several occasion. However, intracranialmeningioma rarely metastasizes extracranially. We report-ed two cases of the intracranial meningioma with extracranialmetastases, one of which is multiple, another, solitary, outof 190 meningiomas experienced in our Department for thepast 22 years.

Case 1: A thirty-five-year-old man developed headache inNovember 1970, and was diagnosed as the cerebellar tentorialmeningioma, which was thought to he totally removed inAugust 1971.
