Two cases of chronic subdural hematoma following head injury observed by computerized tomography were reported and the pathogenesis of chronic subdural hematoma was discussed.
Case 1. A 45-year-old woman who had head injury without any neurological deficit. On the second day, CT scan revealed high density area in the left parietal subdural space. The second CT scan performed 10 days after injury showed low density area around the initial high density area. The third CT scan, 17 days after injury, showed that the low density area increased in volume and the high density area was disappearing from the cortical side.
