Ⅰ．はじめに

　脊髄が直接損傷された報告例は銃弾によるものが多く見られる^{2，3，4，8，9）}．ガラス片による脊髄損傷に関しては，文献上我々が知りえた範囲ではBuczynskiら^1）と宮崎ら^5）の2症例の報告があるのみである．最近我々は，フロントガラス片による高位頸髄損傷により，後索症状の欠如した不完全Brown-Séquard症候群を呈した稀な1症例を経験したので報告する．

A rare case of direct spinal cord injury caused by glass fragments was reported. The patient was a 45-year-old man, who was encountered in a car accident on August 22, 1975. He was admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery, Asahikawa Red Cross Hospital in the evening on August 23.

Physical examination on admission disclosed a 1.5 cm long wound on the left side of the neck just along the hair margin. A clear fluid was oozing out through this wound, and it was identified as cerebrospinal fluid. Neurological examination revealed left hemiparesis.
