Transfixion of Cervical Cord by a Glass Fragment:Report of a Case

Ⅰ．いとぐち

　脊髄が異物の穿通によって損傷された症例は戦時外傷としては稀ではないが，家庭内事故によって発生した症例はきわめて稀である．

　著者らはガラス戸が頸部へ落下し，ガラス破片が串ざし状に高位頸髄内を貫通残留した1例を経験し，本例に対してガラス片の除去手術を行ったので報告するとともに，頸髄部部分的の損傷による特異な神経症状についても検討報告する．

Stab wound of the spinal cord caused by accident occurred in the home life is rare absolutely. One case of stab wound of the cervical spinal cord caused by penetrated and retained glass fragment within the spinal canal was reported.

A 30-year-old woman was hospitarized on August 16, 1971. with complaint of left hemiparesis, gait disturbance and sensory impairment on the right side.
