Functional localization within the corpus callosum in man

I．脳梁機能の研究史（Table　1）

　歴史的に眺めると，脳梁機能の研究は，まず1892年Dejerine^4）の純粋失読の剖検報告に始まる。Fig．1は彼の考えた純粋失読の成立ちを説明する図である。左半球の病変のため，左半球には視覚情報の受容がなく，また，右半球に受容された視覚情報は，脳梁線維が侵されるために，左半球に伝えられなくなってしまっているのが示されている。

　その後，Bastian^2）は，Dejerine^4）の考えをさらに押し進め，純粋失読における脳梁損傷の関与を確立した。

Abstract

The corpus callosum is a histologically homo-genous structure, exclusively consisting of inter-hemispheric commissural fibers. However, since these fibers are mainly homotopical, that is to say, interconnect the homologous cortical areas of both hemispheres, there exists the functional localization of commissural fibers within the corpus callosum.

The present paper deals with the topographical analysis of certain interhemispheric integrative functions within the corpus callosum in men.
