I．はじめに

　脊髄小脳変性症（SCD）を生前，とくに経過の初期に，臨床症状のみによって，診断分類することは容易ではない。小脳の粗形態学的変化の検討は，従来気脳写が利用されたが患者の苦痛と合併症の問題があって，必ずしも容易には行なえなかった。しかしcomputerizedtomography（CT scan）導入後，このような問題点がほとんどなく，大脳，脳幹部，クモ膜下腔，脳室系などの所見が経過を追って得られるようになった。今回，著者らはSCDにCT scanを使用し，その所見と病型，臨床症状との対比を試み，二，三の知見を得たので報告する。

Abstract

A total of 24 cases of spinocerebellar degenera-tions (SCD); 10 cases of olivopontocerebellar atrophy (OPCA), 5 of late cortical cerebellar atrophy (LCCA), 8 of Marie's form of cerebellar ataxia (Marie), and l of Friedreich's ataxia were diagnosed on the clinical ground and investigated with the computerized tomography (CT scan). CT scan pictures were measured and compared with 70 cases of normal controls.

The % width of the pons was narrower (p＜ 0.05) and the % width of the C-P angle and the 4-th ventricle were greater (p＜0.05) among the cases of SCD than normal controls.
