The ultrastructure of motor end-plate in myopathies

I．はじめに

　近年，神経筋疾患における神経筋接合部motor end-plate（以下m. e. p. と略）の異常が注目され，生理学的あるいは形態学的な研究がなされている。とくに重症筋無力症myasthenia gravis（M. G. と略）については古くから光学顕微鏡による報告^1〜5）がなされている。しかしm. e. p. の形態学的な特徴が明らかになって来たのは組織化学および電子顕微鏡（以下電顕と略）の発達によることが多い。正常のm. e. p. は動物や筋肉の種類^6），また筋線維のfiber type^7,8）によって異なることが最近知られている。

　神経筋疾患のm. e. p. の異常の有無を電顕的に検索する場合，m. e. p. は一つの筋線維できわめて限られた場所に1個のみしかみられないため，電顕的観察が困難であり，かつ電顕材料作製の際人工産物が生じやすく，正常のm. e. p. との鑑別には慎重を要する。

External, intercostal motor end-plate fine structure was quantitatively analyzed in nonweak control subjects (32 end-plates), in myasthenia gravis (68 end-plates), and in the myasthenic syndrome (42 end-plates), in addition, the fine structure of 14 motor end-plates from 2 cases of limb-girdle dystrophy, 2 cases of ocular myopathy and 2 cases of congenital myopathy were electron-microscopically observed.
