  • Abstract

Upward rotation of the eye ball is the most affected in external eye movements in adult type of myasthenia gravis. In infantile myasthenia gravis, however, the most involved movement of the eye ball is in inward rotation. This is one of the characteristics of child myasthenia gravis. The observed case is presented below.

Case S.Y. (16 year-old-girl): at age 11, lid-ptosis was begun in the left eye. Five months later, external ophthalmoplegia was noted by her mother.
