透析アミロイドーシスは，透析患者の血中に増加する小分子蛋白β₂ミクログロブリンが前駆蛋白である全身性アミロイドーシスの1つである。透析アミロイドーシスは多彩な骨関節障害を呈するが，手根管症候群はその代表的な症状である。近年この手根管症候群手術既往症例の比率は減少している。そこには，透析療法の進歩が関与していると推測される。

Abstract

Dialysis-related amyloidosis (DRA) is a type of systemic amyloidosis, which is characterized by accumulation of the precursor protein β2 microglobulin in the blood of dialysis patients. DRA can result in various types of bone and articular disorders. Among them, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a major symptom. However, recently, the rate of patients with a history of operation for CTS has decreased, possibly due to recent advances in dialysis modalities.
