泌尿器科初診患者での病名告知に対する意識

Attitudes of New Outpatients toward Informed Consent in Division of Urology

　神奈川県立がんセンター泌尿器科において，新患患者に対して病名告知に対する意識調査を行った。回答した219人のうち，92％が初診時病名告知を希望していた。紹介患者の28％（61人）が癌患者で，そのうちの87％が初診時病名告知を希望していた。病名告知を希望する人の80％が詳しく病名を聞きたいと希望し，78％が家族が反対しても知りたいと希望していた。病名を聞きたくない人の理由の大部分は「病状説明については主治医の判断に任せる」，「家族が反対した場合は家族の意向に従う」というものであった。以上の結果から，当センター泌尿器科を受診する患者では，初診前に問診票で癌告知の意思を確認し，告知を希望する患者にはわかりやすい表現で，説明用紙に「癌＝悪性腫瘍」と書いて本人に渡すようにしている。

In order to investigate the attitudes of outpatients in regard to informed consent of cancer notification, we conducted questionnaire surveys in new patients at our department, Kanagawa cancer center hospital. A total of 219 new out-patients completed the questionnaire. The results showed that 92% of them wanted to be informed about cancer diagnosis. 87% of cancer patients also wanted to be cor-rectly informed. 80% of all patients answered that they wanted to be informed in details even if their family were opposed to.
