　症例は58歳の女性。左背部痛を主訴とし，静脈性尿路造影にて左水腎症ならびに左尿管狭窄が認められ，精査・加療目的にて当科に紹介された。画像所見より良性疾患による尿管狭窄が疑われたが，尿管腫瘍を完全には否定できず，左尿管部分切除術を施行した。迅速病理検査にて悪性所見を認めず，尿管端端吻合を施行し，左腎を温存した。病理組織学的検査および全身検索により，限局性尿管アミロイドーシスと診断した。

A 58-year old female complained of left back pain. IVPdisclosed left hydronephrosis due to the stenosis of theleft ureter. Left partial ureterectomy and end to endanastomosis of the left ureter were performed. The fro-zen section of the specimen during the operationrevealed no malignancy. The diagnosis of amyloidosis ofthe ureter was confirmed using paraffin-embedded mate-rial. Gastroduodenal biopsies were negative for amyloid.The other laboratory tests for amyloidosis were nega-tive and the final diagnosis was localized amyloidosis ofthe ureter.
