悪性腫瘍患者のQOLの向上に漢方薬が有効であった2例

Kampo-medicine For The Postoperative Management of Abdominal Disturbances in Patients with Malignant Tumors:Report of Two Cases

　婦人科癌の治療後に発生した腸管機能異常を呈する2症例に，東洋医学の「証」に基づく漢方治療を施行したところ，速やかに症状の軽減を得た。1例では，大建中湯と人参湯の併用が有効であった。もう1例では，柴胡桂枝湯が有効であった。癌患者のQOLの向上のために漢方薬を使用する場合には，伝統的な東洋医学的所見（証）を把握することが必要である。

Two female patients with uterine cancer who were treated gynecologically and with radiotherapy, had urological complications. After the urologic surgery, they suffered from the disturbance of intestinal function, and were unable to eat for long time, for which Kampo-medicine were prescribed. Case 1: a 50-year-old patient with postopera-tive abdominal distension was given Dai-kenchu-to extract. Four days later, symptons resolved, and she could eat.
