71歳，男性の後腹膜に発生した脱分化型平滑筋肉腫の1例について報告した。腫瘍は最大径25cmで，不規則な"雪だるま"状で組織学的に悪性線維組織球腫様成分と通常の平滑筋肉腫よりなり，両者の境界は明瞭であった。通常の平滑筋肉腫の部分は下大静脈に浸潤しており，皮下に多発性に転移していた。
A rare case of dedifferentiated leiomyosarcoma occur-ring in the retroperitoneum of a 71-year-old man was described. Grossly the tumor was asymmetric dumbbell-shaped, measuring 25 cm in the greatest dimension. Histologically the tumor consisted of malignant fibrous histiocytoma-like sarcoma and ordinary leiomyosarcoma with a distinct border between the two components. The leiomyosarcomatous component involved inferior vena cava and showed multiple metastases in the subcutis.
