　前立腺性上皮性ポリープは，血尿や血精液症の原因疾患とされている。今回血精液症の原因について，前立腺性上皮性ポリープに注目し検討した。血精液を主訴とした16例中7例（43.8％）に本症を見い出し，この5例に経尿道的電気凝固術を施行し良好な結果を得た。また血精液症16例中7例に血尿がみられたが，このうち4例（57.1％）が本症であった。前立腺性上皮性ポリープは，血精液症の重要な原因疾患の一つであり，かつ血尿を合併する頻度が高いと考えられた。

We conducted an investigation the relationship of hemospermia to polyps with prostatic-type epithelium in 16 patients whose chief complaint was hemospermia. Polyps with prostatic.-type epithelium were detected in 7 patients, of whom 5 underwent transurethral coagulation of polyps. Hemospermia and hematuria completely disappeared in 4 patients for postoperative follow-up periods ranging from 5 months to 3 years. Gross hematuria recurred in one patients in whom polyps recurrence and the presence of dilated veins in the posterior urethra were demonstrated.
